The Chinese have long been dogged by claims of counterfeiting and piracy, and it is true that many “fake” Fenders and Gibsons have been purchased online by unsuspecting consumers. The old adage, “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is”, would apply to any purported American guitar in a lower price range.

Dec 20, 2022 · New York. Dec 20, 2022. #2. Remember, the Bullets are Squier's lowest rung in cost. Millions are churned out. They can't catch everything. It's not a Chinese vs. Indonesian issue. The CV models are more than twice the price of the Bullets, and are Squier's premier guitars. More care is given to the CV's in the factory.
Jul 8, 2019 · They both have the 9.5" radius on the neck which I believe is what is actually on Geddy's bass. I believe Fender switched from a 7.25" radius on the Jazz Bass to 9.5" radius either in the mid-70's or early 80's (a little help here!). Geddy's Jazz is a '72 though, so they both may be the wrong neck radius.
Yup. That's a "real" Fender made in China. It's a Modern Player IIRC, I played one when they first came out. The quality is virtually identical to the CV Squier range (which I believe are also made in China). The only thing that put me off was that the guitar is a rather unfetching shade of orange in the flesh and the neck finish is a bit thick
